Heads Together launches a new mental health series with Radiocentre

27/04/2020

As part of our ongoing response to the Covid-19 pandemic, our Heads Together campaign has today launched a new mental health content series. Working with our charity partners and Radiocentre, the industry body for commercial radio, we have produced the ‘60 Second Support’ series. A new episode in the series will be shared each day across hundreds of commercial and community stations in the UK. Each episode will offer advice, tips and activities to encourage the millions of radio listeners to adopt easy and practical techniques to support their mental wellbeing during the pandemic.

Episode One: Talking about Mental Health with Katie Piper, Created by Heads Together

Everyone’s lives have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic in different ways, and it’s normal for these changes to effect us differently. Episode one focuses on the importance of talking about mental health and the message that whoever you are, and whatever you’re going through, it’s ok to say.

You can listen to this episode below, voiced by presenter, philanthropist and Heads Together supporter, Katie Piper.

The series is fronted by CALM patron Professor Green, who has been a long standing supporter of the Heads Together campaign and we’re grateful also to the Audio Content Fund for supporting this work.

“The more we talk about it, and ask others how they’re doing, the more normal the conversations will start to feel. And those conversations can be the first step to better mental health” – Katie Piper for 60 Second Support
